EUCHNER STP3D-4141A024MC2117 (also referenced with order/ID number 096780) is an electromechanical safety switch with guard locking from Euchner’s STP series.

Key Description

It is a Type 2 interlocking device with solenoid-operated guard locking designed for safety monitoring and interlocking of movable guards (hinged or sliding doors, covers, and similar protective devices). It prevents access to hazardous machine areas while a dangerous function is active.

• Guard locking principle: Closed-circuit current (power-to-unlock / mechanical guard locking). The guard is locked by spring force and remains locked even on power loss. Applying power to the solenoid unlocks it.
• Switching element (4141): Slow-action contacts with
  
• – 2 positively driven contacts for guard-lock monitoring
  
• – 2 positively driven contacts for door-position monitoring.
• Solenoid voltage: 24 V AC/DC (–15 % … +10 %), power consumption ≈ 8 W, 100 % duty cycle.
• Locking forces: Fmax ≈ 2500 N, FZh ≈ 2000 N.
• Mechanical features: Metal actuating head, insertion funnel, front auxiliary release (for emergency access; must be secured against misuse), approach direction adjustable in 90° steps (horizontal/vertical), 3 × M20 × 1.5 cable entries.
• Protection & environment: IP67, reinforced thermoplastic housing, ambient temperature –20 … +55 °C, mechanical life 1 × 10⁶ operations.
• Electrical ratings (typical): Ui 250 V, Uimp 2.5 kV, utilization categories AC-15 4 A / 230 V and DC-13 4 A / 24 V, max. fuse 4 A gG.
• Safety standards: Suitable for use in accordance with EN ISO 14119; can support high Performance Level (up to PL e) and SIL 3 when integrated correctly into the safety system (exact rating depends on the external control of the lock and overall architecture).
